In food production, healthcare and institutional settings, “clean” isn’t enough. You need disinfection you can prove. LactiClean Disinfectant is the flagship of the LactiClean range. It’s a dedicated disinfectant, laboratory certified against bacteria, fungi, yeasts and spores, for environments where hygiene outcomes are audited.
It’s built on a proprietary, bio-based lactic acid formulation combined with a plant-derived, multiple-surfactant system. The lactic acid is of natural origin, produced through biological fermentation. Traditional biocides are mostly synthetic and can carry risks to people, animals and the environment. LactiClean delivers certified performance without them.
Certified to three SANS standards
LactiClean Disinfectant is SANAS laboratory certified as:
- Bactericidal (SANS 51276): 99.999% (log 5) bacterial reduction
- Fungicidal and yeasticidal (SANS 51650): kills fungi, yeasts and mould
- Sporicidal (SANS 53704): kills bacterial spores, some of the most resistant organisms in any facility
Every claim is backed by a recognised SANS standard and an NRCS registration. That gives quality, food safety and compliance teams documented evidence for HACCP plans, food safety audits and hygiene inspections.
It’s suited to food and beverage manufacturing, abattoirs and meat processing, dairies, commercial kitchens, hospitals and clinics, aged-care facilities, schools, and contract cleaning operations.

How to use
- Clean and degrease the surface first, then rinse well. For this step, we recommend LactiClean Detergent Cleaner or LactiClean Multi-Surface Cleaner.
- Apply LactiClean Disinfectant at the strength and contact time you need:
- Routine disinfection (bactericidal, SANS 51276): Undiluted, or diluted up to 1 part to 15 parts clean water. Leave for 5 minutes.
- Mould and fungi (fungicidal, SANS 51650): Undiluted. Leave for 15 minutes.
- Spores and high-risk areas (sporicidal, SANS 53704): Undiluted. Leave for 60 minutes.
- Rinse the surface with clean water after application.
